About me
I've written and re-written this, it is very difficult for me to describe myself... I'm in my mid thirties, I've got two kids, a toddler boy and a baby girl. I'm an ex Health Spa manager, ex translator turned stay at home mom. I'm half Italian, half Brazilian and I grew up in Texas. I moved to Italy in my early twenties and fell in love, started a family, moved from a big city that I loved to a tiny rural town that I'm finally learning to appreciate, had two beautiful children and recently survived the hardest year of my life. My baby girl was born at the end of November 2009, and right before Christmas my husband was diagnosed with Leukemia. This was obviously a major shock to the whole family, it has taught us a lot, it has brought us closer together, and it led me to this blog. So there you go! We're still not out of it, but I'm an optimist, so everything is going to turn out alright.
That's it for now, but I'm still working on this page, so bear with me, I'll get it right sooner or later!
About this blog
I often wonder what the point of this blog is. I have yet to find a satisfactory answer… I guess it’s a little bit therapy, a little bit fun. It gives me a creative outlet and it makes me think about what’s going on in my life, keeps me in the moment, which is something I tend to overlook in the frenzy of daily life. I’ll be writing from the heart, about possibly interesting and occasionally not so interesting things (seriously, whose life is consistently interesting all the time??), with a sense of humor, I hope. My intent is to make you laugh, and hopefully to occasionally write something that resonates in your heart too. So, maybe we’ll become friends, for now, welcome to my life!
Also, I love comments to my posts, but if you feel like you want to share something more private or long, email me: moomser@gmail.com
